“The full development of himself (the child) is his

unique and ultimate goal in life.” –Dr. Montessori

Child Working

Our Mission Statement:

adopted in September, 1972

Recognizing the dignity of every child, we pledge to provide an environment based on the educational theories of Dr. Maria Montessori. We will allow each child to progress at his or her own rate in multi-aged classrooms of 3-6, 6-9, and 9-12 year olds. We will strive to create within each child the ability to work independently, develop a love of learning, and become capable of making decisions. We further pledge to support these attributes as they enhance the quality of life and promote the development of future leaders.

We have been serving families from the Greater Lansing Area for over 35 years. We pride ourselves on the diversity of both our student body and of the programs and events we offer our students. We offer programs from age 3 through age 12 (6th grade). We work hard at keeping true to the Montessori philosophy and bringing excellence to your children. Our experienced, professional staff are as devoted to developing the child as Dr. Montessori was over 100 years ago.
