Not just a place for the child, a place for the family

Parents and teachers become collaborators, working together to support a child's growth and learning.

Our family spent 10 rewarding years with our greater Montessori family on West St. Joseph Street. The relationships built are still maintained to this day. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to engage with the school and participate in our children’s development.

Having a child in the classroom for three years means having those parents for three years. That’s very powerful. It creates a triad of teacher, parent, and student all working together toward a successful educational experience.

We have shelves of books about education for loan. The wide variety of books cover the Montessori philosophy, early childhood education, parenting, and other topics of interest concerning children and their development.

Curriculum night & Alumni Panel

Each year the teachers lead a discussion on classroom structure and curriculum for parents whose children will enter a new room the following year. The discussion is followed by a panel of alumni and parents of alumni who share insight into their experiences with our school. The event is moderated by our former head of school Sue Husband. Event held each March.
